Explore, create, and experiment this summer at Camp DCL! Choose from our weeklong half-day camps at six DCL locations or full-day camps at select locations.
Materials and snacks are provided for all camps; full-day campers must bring a nut-free lunch daily. Please also bring your own water bottle. Camp DCL policies & procedures apply. Castle Pines
STEAM Challenge LEGO Camp
June 15-19*, 9AM-12PM

Ready for a Survivor-style challenge? Campers will put their design, building, and critical-thinking skills to the test through daily design challenges with a teammate. Earn Survivor Bucks for performing well and then use those bucks to purchase supplies or prizes throughout camp week. With encouragement, young builders will carefully work through the engineering design process to see how often they can design with a purpose. Facilitated by professionals from Snapology. Fizz-Bang-Boom Science Camp

Take the physics of motion, add electrifying experiments, and mix it up with some chemistry for a weeklong blast! Budding scientists will create their own battery-powered invention, experiment with light and flight, make their own kaleidoscope, investigate giant floating bubbles, and more! Saddle Up & Create Art Camp

Giddy up—the spirit of the frontier meets the golden glow of autumn, farm animals, and colorful harvest! Young artists will paint rolling fields, craft cowboy hats and horses, and sculpt pumpkins, corn and playful scarecrows using a vibrant range of materials, including clay, acrylics, pastels, and natural objects. Each project celebrates the colors and traditions of the West while fostering imagination, artistic skills, and a sense of adventure. Facilitated by professionals from KidzArt. Claws, Codes & Constellations Science Camp

Blast off into a week of discovery, creativity, and hands-on fun! Campers will crack secret codes, become planet protectors, test Newton’s laws through games and sports, explore the wild wonders of nature, and train like astronauts on a space adventure. Pack your global curiosity! Campers will start each day discovering unique aspects of different cultures, like national flags, traditional cuisines, influential artists, and historical landmarks, and work with a partner to solve challenges in various "countries." Kids will learn about world cultures and compete in fun challenges to test their building and problem-solving skills. After lunch, we’ll take a culinary journey around the world, traveling from continent to continent through the kitchen, cooking up dishes inspired by countries near and far. Colorful Colorado Art Camp

Celebrate Colorado, from our aspens to the mountains, through art! Young artists will paint the Colorado flag with aspens, sculpt bears and deer, and design art using Broncos and Nuggets logos. Guided by award-winning artists who love teaching kids, campers will have fun drawing, painting and sculpting based on our state, while also problem-solving and developing critical-thinking skills. Have a blast, from the design lab to the art studio! Campers will start each day sharpening their design and building skills by learning how to take their ideas and turn them into real-world buildings. Instructors will guide campers through the building process, from creating a floor plan to disaster-proofing, to create super LEGO architecture. After lunch, we’ll travel the world to discover amazing artists and colorful cultures while creating art like the masters! Draw like Da Vinci, paint like Van Gogh, sculpt like Kusama, and learn about other famous artists. Inspired by famous works of art, young artists will experiment in formats such as pastels, sculpture, acrylics and more. Facilitated by professionals from Snapology and KidzArt. Brave Theatre Camp

Learn to Brave-ly perform. Merida's mother tells her that because of tradition, she must marry and give up her interests. But Merida chooses to defy her mother and tradition, and follows the ancient forest wisps to seek help from an eccentric witch who grants her an ill-fated wish. Now Merida must discover the true meaning of courage and undo a beastly curse before it’s too late. This hilarious adaptation will have everyone laughing! Camp concludes with a 90-minute final performance and production/awards ceremony on July 31, beginning at 4:15 p.m. Facilitated by professionals from KidStage. Bring your own water bottle.

Join us for a week of characters! Each morning, campers will experience Pokémania. We’ll explore the Pokémon world and practice their training skills, and create training gyms, unique battles, and our own generation of Pokémon. Campers will also explore real-world science and examine the habitats, characteristics and needs of different Pokémon. After lunch, we will create art based on Squishmallows, Pokémon, cartoons/animation, and even Hello Kitty characters. Imagine all the paintings, sculptures and jewelry we will make! Around the World Art Camp

Oh, the places we’ll go! Campers will travel the world and discover colorful cultures through art, drawing great pyramids, painting the Eiffel Tower, making a Chinese dragon puppet, designing a compass, and much more. We’ll use mosaic tiles, sculpture, and mandala designs in formats inspired by faraway lands. Young artists can fill their "passport" with stamps after creating each new work of art. Moving with Science Camp

Creators, this camp is for you! Campers will start each day making art based on their favorite foods, and will even turn real food into art. Delicious drawings, sumptuous sculptures, and palatable paintings are on the menu, along with food jewelry art! Young artists will also make a gingerbread house and decorate cupcakes. Each afternoon, we’ll dig into where food begins to explore the journey of plants from seed, to harvest, to table and learn how fruits and veggies grow in gardens, orchards and fields. Finally, we’ll turn those farm-fresh ingredients into colorful, delicious recipes. Facilitated by professionals from Art for Life and Sticky Fingers. Every morning, campers will explore the world of transportation and build models of their favorite forms of transportation while learning about energy, wheels and axles, air resistance, and more. Each afternoon, we'll set sail for a tropical art adventure inspired by vibrant beaches, tropical fruit, lush palm trees, and exotic island wildlife. Campers will experiment with watercolors, acrylics, mixed media, and natural objects to paint sunsets, sculpt sea creatures, create textured leaf prints, assemble playful collages, and paint seashells on canvas, all while learning about island cultures and coastal environments. Escape Room STEM Camp

Escape summer boredom and have a ton of fun! During this week, campers will experience all things escape room: codes and ciphers, escape challenges, tricky puzzles, scavenger hunts, and more. Kids will work together to solve mysteries with a time limit, and then create mini escape rooms for other campers to solve. Will they escape from a forgotten pyramid, find the hidden treasure room, or unearth the secrets of an angry mummy? It's up to them! Facilitated by professionals from Inspire to Learn and Imagine. LEGO Olympics Camp

Join us for Olympic-size fun! Campers will learn about the history of the Olympic Games and specific sports and use those sports as the backdrop for building, creativity and teamwork. Using the world's favorite Summer Games as inspiration, kids will build creations out of LEGO bricks while learning what it means to be a good sport through collaboration and friendly competition. Destination Art Camp

National parks, native creatures, and historical landmarks come to life in this week of road-trip art! Campers will explore our beautiful country and awe-inspiring vacation destinations through fun projects—three per day—using a variety of mediums, including watercolor, acrylic paint, collage, clay sculpture, fabric, 3D and more. They will also develop a positive, stick-with-it attitude and problem-solving skills through our unique teaching approach. Facilitated by professionals from KidzArt. Bring your own water bottle.
